The Marine Safety Forum in conjunction with the Oil Companies International Marine Forum published the good practice document “The Carriage of Methanol in Bulk Onboard Offshore Vessels” in early June 2020. Whilst there is a plethora of guidance appertaining to Methanol available online, the workgroup felt that the offshore Oil & Gas industry would benefit from specific guidance relating to the products bulk carriage in supply vessels tanks. The document conforms with the OSV Chemical Code.
