The Offshore Safety Awards, jointly organised by Oil & Gas UK and Step Change in Safety, seek to acknowledge the excellent work being done to promote safety across the industry and to share and celebrate the outstanding contributions being made by individuals and companies to the industry’s safety goals.

The Marine Safety Forum are delighted and proud to announce that we are sponsoring the creation of a new award, the award for Maritime Safety!

The Award for Maritime Safety is for a Seafarer or crew who demonstrate a passion for safety, lead by example and continuously strive for safe operations.  This individual, or team, should demonstrate their commitment and have a genuine passion for safety.

Candidates should be nominated by their employing company, ship mates, supported offshore installation or client being served.

Download the nomination form directly here.

Submit all completed nominations and supporting evidence to events@oilandgasuk.co.uk

Full information on all of the Award categories can be found here.

Nominations will close at midday on 26 June 2019

Join us at the awards where each finalist will share their award submission and the audience will participate in live voting to decide the winners.

The MSF is delighted to announce the new Delivering Quality Bulk Marine Gasoil to Offshore Installations Guidelines.

This document is applicable to vessels carrying Marine Gasoil as cargo to offshore installations operating in the United Kingdom Continental Shelf (UKCS), but the principles can be applied elsewhere.

Vessel Owners may choose to apply this guidance to fuel intended for ships use only.

This document provides practical guidance on delivering quality Marine Gasoil to offshore locations with a view to operating to a common standard throughout the offshore UKCS supply chain to achieve common specification requirements for maintenance and testing standards.

The new guidelines can be found here.

The first AMM of 2019 is planned for 30th of May at the Aberdeen Beach Ballroom. As always we look forward to seeing you all there. Seafarers especially welcome. Agenda to follow.
