Step Change is an industry initiative to improve safety performance, awareness and behaviours throughout the UK oil and gas industry. Step Change in Safety is a non-profit making organisation with the support of several Trade Associations across the industry.

The objective of this forum is to work to make the oil industry a safer place. The vision is to prevent dropped object incidents in the oilfield sector and, ultimately, to deliver a permanent and 'second nature' dropped objects prevention strategy.
